Founder · Academic · Structural Engineer & Architect
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan Cansız is an academic and engineer who combines architecture and civil engineering through academic knowledge and field experience, specializing in structural safety and urban transformation.
A graduate of Yıldız Technical University's Department of Civil Engineering, Cansız completed his master's degree at YTU's Department of Mechanics and his doctorate in Structural Engineering. He also earned a second bachelor's degree in Architecture, bringing both disciplines together at a professional level.
Throughout his career, he has worked on hundreds of architectural and structural design projects across many provinces in Turkey. He has conducted academic research on structural safety, earthquake engineering, reinforced concrete structures, project management, and urban transformation, while also consulting on numerous public and private sector projects.
Believing that urban transformation is one of the most important elements of safe urbanization, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan Cansız is particularly recognized for his work on preparing Istanbul for earthquakes. By combining scientific approach with practical experience, he has made producing projects based on high engineering standards and earthquake safety a core principle. He also shares his views on earthquake safety and urban transformation on national television and various platforms.
